Our Mission

Educate. Empower. Feed.

The Feeding Pueblo Initiative is a beacon of hope in our community, dedicated to eradicating hunger and empowering individuals through access to healthy, nutritious food. At its core, FPI is more than just a food distribution organization—it’s a movement fueled by compassion and a deep belief in the strength of our community. By connecting people with resources, education, and opportunities to grow their own food, we aim to restore dignity, foster resilience, and create lasting change.

We are committed to sustainability through environmentally responsible practices, including promoting local food production and reducing waste. Our goal is to create a model that not only addresses immediate food needs but also contributes to the long-term health and sustainability of our community.

Together, we are building a stronger, more united Pueblo, where no one has to face the hardships of hunger alone, and where sustainability is at the heart of our efforts.

The Feeding Pueblo Initiative Inc started as a small idea fueled by a big passion for community and sustainability. As a new resident of Pueblo, I noticed a gap in the availability of food and household essentials for low income families and the dire need for reliable donation deliveries. With a background in Army and a heart for service, I decided to bridge this gap myself. By collaborating with local gardeners and volunteers, we've created a network that not only supports local agriculture but also ensures that those in need have access to nutritious food. We're good at what we do because we deeply care about our community and believe in the power of local solutions to global problems. -Shayna Williams
